We Know Training acquires CannSell, Ontario’s leader in cannabis retail training

TORONTO, ON – We Know Training (WKT) is pleased to announce its acquisition of CannSell, which provides retail cannabis training in Ontario. Effective March 23, 2023, We Know Training will take over as the provider of provincially-approved retail cannabis education in Ontario.

WKT is eager to combine our expertise and passion for training in regulated industries with the industry and subject-matter knowledge of the CannSell team. As experts in high-stakes training for government, regulators, associations, and non-profits, we deliver training that matters for numerous industries where safety and responsible consumption are of the upmost importance.

WKT looks forward to improving the learning experience for Ontario budtenders through the combined efforts of our in-house instructional design team, our proprietary e-learning and e-commerce platform, our dedicated customer support team, and our credential management. We currently also provide cannabis and alcohol retail training for the province of British Columbia, and are focused on providing the best training in Canada for cannabis workers.

“We Know Training is passionate about protecting the public and empowering individuals through impactful training in regulated industries. We’re thrilled to expand our partnerships in the liquor and cannabis retail space, because we see this as an opportunity to use education to facilitate safer consumption — and safer communities,” said Chris LaBossiere, Founder and CEO of We Know Training.

In that spirit, WKT will continue to partner closely with MADD Canada (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), which has been invaluable in developing the CannSell courses.

“Effective training programs for cannabis retail sales staff are essential to helping reduce the risk of impaired driving,” said MADD Canada Chief Executive Officer Steve Sullivan. “With our extensive expertise in education and awareness around the prevention of impaired driving, MADD Canada is proud to team with We Know Training as they deliver comprehensive training that includes a strong emphasis on the risks of driving under the influence of cannabis, and how to prevent it.”

WKT will also continue to work closely with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to ensure all CannSell courses support their values of innovation, proactivity, inclusivity and social responsibility.

Throughout the transition process, WKT will be reaching out to industry stakeholders to solicit feedback. To learn more or to provide industry or community feedback, please contact We Know Training via the press liaison below.
