Jason Watt is a full-time instructor at Business Career College, training clients in investments, insurance and financial advising.
Following a 14-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, which included four overseas operations, Watt turned his focus to finances, gaining expertise in financial planning and insurance, along with becoming a leader in continuing education for financial advisors and insurance professionals. His time teaching at the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre and the Canadian Forces Peace Support Training Centre helped him transition to his current role as instructor
While the traditional focus of the financial services industry has been on product sales, Watt believes there is an opportunity for advisors who can better help clients understand their relationship with money. Along with serving on a number of community boards, Watt volunteers financial coaching services at the Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation and is actively working to bring a pro-bono financial planning model to Canada.
