Providing training to a massive workforce with frequent turnover and safety-sensitive obligations is no easy feat, but it’s especially complex when the platform you use stops working.

That was the challenge facing the LCRB, which trained tens of thousands of learners each year using an Adobe Flash-based course. They needed to quickly switch to a modernized platform, and provide engaging courses that effectively communicate the safety imperatives of serving alcohol responsibly.

The new training also needed to be accessible in an equally engaging format for individuals with limited access to technology, who are working remotely, or who are English as Second Language (ESL) learners.

Solutions

To quickly resolve the Adobe Flash issue, We Know Training converted all of the LCRB’s existing training over to an HTML5 platform. After bridging the functionality gap, WKT built a custom branded LMS environment where learners could directly access the training and exam to achieve certification.

Next, WKT completely rebuilt the 3 courses that LCRB offered. In close partnership with LCRB stakeholders, we crafted new scenario-based questions that outlined the correct and incorrect actions servers might take in common on-the-job scenarios.

With such a massive volume of learners accessing this training, the LCRB paid particular attention to privacy concerns. Each year, we complete a SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance Audit to ensure that our systems and processes are of the highest standards.

These courses are now hosted upon our platform and each day over 400 people access the training, and get bilingual support during their learning journey from our customer success team.
